The high quality raw material represents the foundation for our activity of producing wood pellets, wooden animal bedding and briquettes. This allows us efficient processing and, finally, obtaining high quality products.

Acquisition of logs
We buy the wood we use from sustainably managed forests. Ameco Renewable Energy processes softwood and very little approx. 2% deciduous of the total processed quantity.
Requirements for raw materials and quality criteria
Our raw material requirements and quality criteria are stipulated in the purchase conditions. We ask our employees and suppliers to adhere to the high quality standards as FSC, and to comply with Regulation (EU) no. 995/2010 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 20 October 2010 establishing the obligations of operators who place on the market timber and timber products, respectively, the maintenance of a Due Diligence System in order not to purchase wood from controversial sources.
We hold the internationally recognized FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) Chain of Custody Certification.
We also have a quality certificate for ENplus wood pellets in accordance with EPC (European Pellet Council) regulations.
